Meet the founder and designer
Hi, I'm Lucy
Luno started in 2020 as a little creative project, when I began making patterns simply because I loved it. Years of sketching, experimenting and refining later, Luno became something I couldn't stop thinking about!
With a background in Biomedical Sciences, design was an unexpected path - but every Luno phone case is now designed by me, from the first sketch to the finished pattern. Original, playful and made to feel a little more you.
The design process
From sketch to case
All Luno designs begin as simple sketches - quick shapes, loose ideas and repeating forms that come together on paper before they ever make it to a screen.
From there, I bring everything onto my iPad, where each pattern is redrawn, refined and polished using digital illustration tools. I'm inspired by abstract shapes, playful patterns and thoughtful design, with each case created to feel distinctive without being overwhelming.
